This page displays a deterministic radar nowcast produced using the pysteps package. It makes use of data from the public images from the MetService Wellington 300K radar composite . The animated image below shows the last two hours of radar images, followed by a two-hour forecast (forecast timestamps are displayed in red). It dwells on the latest image and the two-hour forecast. Best efforts only - this system may not always be running.
